She has danced in major productions, directed her own company, and created shows that blend tradition with innovation, capturing the essence of tango while opening new creative paths. She is also the founder of Copes Tango Estudio, a training space where she teaches both social and stage tango, mentoring new generations of dancers.
A passionate advocate for women in tango, Johana created “Ladys’ Tango”, a landmark festival promoting equality and visibility in the tango world. She is recognized as an ambassador of the female tanguera, empowering dancers in both roles—leader and follower.
