Argentina Tango has processes and procedures in place to comply with the privacy laws that apply to us, including the EU and UK General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA). As privacy laws change, so will this Privacy Statement, so we encourage you to check it from time to time. It applies to all content on the Argentina Tango website.
Collection of information and use of information
When you browse the site, your email address is not collected automatically. However, our server automatically records the following information about your visit:
- your internet domain name and IP address;
- the type of browser and operating system used to access our site;
- the web pages you visit; and
- the date, time and length of your visit.
We use this information to understand how many people visit the site and the technology they use, so that we can (i) decide what changes the site needs, (ii) improve its content and (iii) make business-planning decisions.
When you make an enquiry or a booking, we collect the details you give us, such as your name, email address, phone number, travel dates and preferences. The information we collect on our travel program participants is used only to provide the services related to the travel program. We do not release personally identifiable information to other parties unless it is required to provide those services (for example, to couriers delivering documents, or to hotels, guides and travel agencies providing the services, products or information you requested). We may also release personally identifiable information if we are required to respond to subpoenas, court orders or legal process, or if we believe that your actions on our site violate its terms and conditions or the law.
We use physical and electronic security to protect personally identifiable information at all times. Our team members are trained in the proper handling of data and the importance of protecting information about our program participants.
Information quality
We will make a sincere effort to respond promptly to any request to correct inaccuracies in your personally identifiable information. To correct an inaccuracy, reply to the message containing it with details of the correction.
Argentina Tango is not responsible for the privacy practices or the content of other websites we link to. Please review the privacy policy of each site before providing any information.
Children
Argentina Tango does not knowingly collect data from individuals under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly market our services to them.
Use of cookies and other technologies
A cookie is a small text file that a website stores in your browser, for example to remember your preferences or a booking in progress. We use essential cookies to make the site work, and, only with your consent, performance cookies to understand how the site is used and marketing cookies set by providers such as YouTube, Instagram and Google Maps. No performance or marketing cookies are set until you allow them.

Credit card security
Because your credit card security is a high priority, we have taken numerous steps to ensure that your payment information is processed confidentially, accurately and securely. Our website uses SSL/TLS encryption, so your payment details cannot be read as they travel over the internet. Card payments are handled by our payment providers, and Argentina Tango does not store any credit card data on its web servers.
Physical and health details
We need to know your age, gender, height and general health so that we can provide the right program and ensure your health and safety.
Flight and passport information
We ask for your flight information so that we can provide airport pick-up or drop-off and make sure you have enough time to reach the airport for your flights. For some trips, we ask for passport information because our local service providers (for example a hotel or a ship) require it, or to arrange your transportation during your trip.
Personal preferences
Argentina Tango always strives to provide the highest level of personal service. Our team records any special requests or preferences you give us when you book, and passes them on to your guides so they can meet and exceed your expectations. Our guides may also pass on requests or preferences you mention during a trip. We keep a record of this information so that your preferences can be accommodated on future trips, and a record of the trips you have taken with us, which helps us understand the activities and trips you prefer and what information you might find interesting.
Your choices
You may refuse to give us your personal information, or withdraw your consent to its use at any time, subject to legal or contractual restrictions and reasonable notice. In either case this may limit our ability to serve you, for example if we cannot arrange a service without the information.
Your rights (EU and UK residents)
If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, the GDPR gives you the right to:
- access the personal information we hold about you;
- have inaccurate information corrected;
- have your information deleted;
- restrict or object to how we use it;
- receive your information in a portable format; and
- withdraw your consent at any time, where we rely on consent (for example for cookies).
We use your information to perform our contract with you (your booking and travel services), to meet legal obligations, for our legitimate interests in running and improving our business, and, for non-essential cookies, with your consent. We keep booking information for as long as needed for these purposes and for our legal and accounting obligations. You also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.
Your rights (California residents)
If you live in California, the CCPA/CPRA gives you the right to know what personal information we collect and how we use and disclose it, to request its deletion or correction, and not to be discriminated against for using these rights. We do not sell your personal information for money. Marketing cookies on our website may count as “selling” or “sharing” personal information for targeted advertising; you can opt out with the “Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information” link at the bottom of every page, and we honour the Global Privacy Control signal.
